Lemn Sissay
Lemn Sissay (born 1967) is a British poet. He is known for performances of his poetry, solo and also with jazz fusion groups, as well as work with schoolchildren. He is a playwright, and has worked on radio and television drama. He appears on the Leftfield album Leftism. He was born in Billinge near Wigan, Greater Manchester, of Ethiopian parents. His 2004 drama Something Dark deals with his search for his family, after his early fostering. It was broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in 2005.
