Lobster roll
Lobster rolls are common fare in the state of Maine, but also in the other New England states in the U.S., and on New York's Long Island, where lobster fishing is common. They can even be purchased at McDonald's in Maine and Massachusetts. A lobster roll is made of mayonnaise-tossed chunks of lobster meat on a roll (very often a hot dog bun or something along those lines), often with lettuce. Red's Eats, a famous food stand in Wiscasset, Maine, serves its lobster rolls without lettuce or mayonnaise. The Red's Eats recipe consists of a large lobster tail or two on a roll with butter for dipping.
