Lota
Lota is a Hindi word for 'pot'. Though it may refer to any pot, the term is most commonly employed for a container filled with water to facilitate the cleaning of one's anal region after defecation. The Muslim shower is a more modern alternative to the lota and is a common bathroom fixture throughout the Indian Subcontinent as well as in many Arab states. In Urdu and Hindi, the word Lota is also colloquially used to refer to a person that switches loyalties, especially from one political party to another.
