Lucas Malet
Lucas Malet Pseudonym (pen-name) of Mary St Leger Kingsley, born 1852, Victorian novelist. She was the daughter of Charles Kingsley, author of The Water Babies, etc. Her novels include: The Far Horizon, Deadham Hard, Carissima, The History of Sir Richard Calmady, The Pool, and Little Peter, a Christmas Morality for Children of Any Age. She also completed her father's unfinished novel The Tutor's Story. In 1876 she married William Harrison, Minor Canon of Westminster, and Priest-in-Ordinary to the Queen.
