Luxo Jr
Luxo Jr was Pixar's first fully 3D animated short film. It had several CGI innovations, such as the first use of shadows. The film features two table lamps, one old and one small, kid-like Luxo Junior. The story revolves around a toy ball and its accidental destruction by the playful Luxo Junior. The character of Luxo Jr became the mascot of Pixar and a part of this short film is used in the title card introduction for all Pixar films. It was the first CGI film nominated for an Academy award.
