Luz Nereida Velez
Luz Nereida Velez (born circa 1958) is a famous television reporter from Puerto Rico. She was born in Mayagüez. Velez joined Noticentro 4 in the late 1970s, right out of college. She soon became an anchor-woman and began to be assigned to important news coverage. In the 1980s, she also became a sex symbol of sorts, articles with photos of her wearing bathing suits or bikinis being published by Vea, Teve Guia and other publications. Such publications also made articles that covered her family life and work. Velez still works for Noticentro 4.
