Lyons of Antigua

 

Lyons of Antigua

The family of Lyons has long been associated with the Island of Antigua, from as early as the late 1600's, shortly after the settlement of the island. It was John Lyons (1760-1816) who returned to England with his wife, Catherine (née Walrond) and had a quite substantially sized family, namely:

· Jane Lyons 1785-1803

· Eliza Lyons 1786-1786

· John Lyons 1787-1872

· Theodore Lyons 1788-1825

· Henry Lyons 1789-1807

· Edmund Lyons 1790-1858

· Anne Lyons 1792-1816

· Catherine Lyons 1794-1857

· William 1795-1795

· George Rose Lyons 1796-

· William Mills Lyons 1797-1881

· Maine Walrond Lyons 1799-1827

· Caroline Lyons 1800-1879

· Humphrey Lyons 1802-1873

· Charles Bethel Lyons 1803-1865


John married secondly, Elizabeth Williams and had the following children:

· Samuel Athill Lyons 1805-1881

· Frances Walrond Lyons 1806-1884

· Edward Robbins Lyons 1809-1849
