MAACO is an American-based franchise autobody shop founded by entrepeneur Anthony A. Martino as an acronymn of his name (similar to AAMCO). MAACO currently has 530 franchises in 48 states, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Starting with a pilot MAACO Auto Painting & Bodyworks center in Wilmington, Delaware in 1972, the company specializes in paint-service and autobody repairs and claims to have served over 1.5 billion customers and currently averaging 700,000 vehicle-services each year. Its award-winning advertising includes the popularized catchphrase "Uh-oh, better get MAACO".
