Maachah is a Biblical name.

5. One of David's wives. She was the daughter of king Talmai of Geshur. David begat Absalom and Tamar with her.

6. Absalom's granddaughter, and thus the great-grand daughter of #5. She is also called "Michaiah". She married king Rehoboam and is mentioned as his most beloved wife. She became the mother of Abijah, the next king. She lived after her grandson Asa became king, and was removed from her titulation of "lady" because she was worshipping idols.

7. Father of Hanan, who was a man in David's army. (1. Chr. 11:26)

8. Father of Shephatiah, who was an office man in David's time. (1.Chr 27:1)

10. An Aramean kingdom, near Geshur, east of the Hauran, the district of Batanea. (Josh. 13:13; 2 Sam. 10:6,8; 1 Chr. 19:7) . It may have derived its name from Nachor's child. It went to war against David, but was besieged. It may have come under the control of the kingdom of Damascus later.
