MabuiagThe Mabuiag people live on Mabuiag Island in the Torres Strait. They are a Melanesian people. The Mabuiags had a reputation for hostility to outsiders until their acceptance of Christianity in the early 1870s. Mabuiag is administered by the Australian state of Queensland.
