Make-out party
A make-out party is a party where people of both genders are invited to participate. Most often, people at these types of parties might make out (kiss) with somebody other than their boyfriend/girlfriend. This practice is uncommon, since there are some who believe that people only kiss or make out with their lover. The only major exception to that is emulating a make-out session in a movie (e.g. romantic hollywood movies, comedies, etc.). A make-out party can commence due to a special occasion (e.g. 16th Birthday, Bachelor(ette), Dance, etc.) and also have a certain theme to it. These kind of parties can trigger a high level of sexual stimulation and excitement. People who tend to be very shy may hesitate to make out, however, they might dance with somebody that is from the opposite gender (see Love shyness). Sometimes, romance in pop culture can trigger the love shyness that impedes the user's ability to do romantic-like actions. One way of describing this is if somebody recurringly saw bf/gf breakups on movies, TV shows, etc. The hosts might prepare a small plater of hors d'oeuvres, or can request that party guests bring in items from home (snacks, drink, etc.) Party favors maybe available for the host to pass out to the guests. Games like "Spin the bottle" may be played to "break the ice". There might be some guests who wish to have sex at the party or begin to dance with someone in a sensuous manner. It depends on the shyness or the intentions of each party guest that determines what they do at the party.
