Make Believe Productions
Make Believe Productions was an independent, not-for-profit Australia theatre company based in Newtown, Sydney. The company was founded by Michael Darragh and Bernard Harper, members of Darlinghurt Theatre in Kings Cross, Sydney. The company produced or co-produced four productions and was committed to giving aspiring actors and theatre practitioners new opportunities. Productions - The Ugly Man by Brad Fraser at The Wayside Theatre, Kings Cross, Sydney (February, 1997). The Australian premiere production was directed and designed by Michael Darragh and produced by Bernard Harper for Darlinghurst Theatre.
- Salam Shalom: A Tale of Passion by Saleem at PACT Theatre, Erskineville, Sydney (August, 1997). The Australian premiere production was directed by Michael Darragh, produced by Bernard Harper and designed by Charles Kevin. The cast included Saleem, Johnny Kairouz and Scott Bennett.
- Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey at Studio Theatre, Newtown, Sydney (February, 1998). The critically-acclaimed Australian premiere was directed by Michael Darragh and co-produced by Bernard Harper and Lisa Harper. The cast included Fiona Harris, Simon Corfield, Andrew Wallace, Natalie Murray and Charles Kevin.
- Making Porn by Ronnie Larsen at Seymour Theatre, Sydney (February, 1999). The Australian premiere was directed and designed by Michael Darragh and promoted by Lisa Harper for Make Believe Productions and produced by Amber Jacobsen for Jacobsen Entertainment. The cast included Geoff Barker and Nathan Spence.
