Meir NitzanMeir Nitzan is (as of 2004) the mayor of Rishon-LeZion, Israel. This is his 5th term. Nitzan is serving as mayor since 1983, and survived four elections. He has been serving more than 20 years in office and considered to be one of the best active mayors in Israel and Rishon's history. During his terms, the "New West" of Rishon was built.In the Israeli Defence Forces, Nitzan reached the rank of Brigadier-General.
