MelandMeland is a municipality in the county of Hordaland, Norway. The administrative centre is at Frekhaug, in the south-eastern part of the island Holsnøy, which makes for the larger part of the municipality. In addition a number of smaller islands, among these Flatøy and Ypsøy. When approaching the region of Nordhordland from Bergen, you'll enter Meland via the 1610 m long Nordhordland Bridge, built in 1994. External link
