:2 ALP member Alan Bird died on July 21, 1962; ALP candidate Sam Benson won the resulting by-election on September 1. :3 ALP member Edgar Russell died on March 31, 1963; ALP candidate Jack Mortimer won the resulting by-election on June 1. :4 ALP member Eddie Ward died on July 31, 1963; ALP candidate Leonard Devine won the resulting by-election on September 28.
