MLS Scoring Champion Award
In the United States, Major League Soccer (MLS) has handed out a Scoring Champion Award since its inception in 1996. The award goes to a player who leads the league in points (goals multiplied by two plus assists) in the regular season. The award has been sponsored by Budweiser since its inception. The award was discontinued in 2005, to be replaced by the MLS Golden Boot.
