Mr Tulip
Tulip, Mr (other names unknown) is a Discworld character who features in the novel The Truth. Mr Tulip is one of those rare things - a brilliant assassin and an art lover. He is differentiated from a common killer by his habit of removing priceless works of art from houses before commiting arson, and he recognises great art works all over Ankh Morpork, being an instinctive connoisseur of the arts. He also suffers a mild speech impediment, causing him to often insert "-ing" mid-sentence. One major problem with Mr. Tulip is not that he has a drugs habit as such, but that he wants to have a drug habit, having a tendency to desire anything sold in little bags. Unfortunately for this desire, he would in a city where on any street any number of Discworld drugs are available, unerringly find the one man who was selling oven cleaner or calcium carbonate. He is the sidekick of Mr. Pin, and though an instinctive killer, recognises Mr. Pin's cognitive skills, and leaves the thinking to him. At the end of the novel he is re-incarnated as a woodworm, and the only woodworm to say as he did in life 'this is -ing good wood!'
