MSX emulator
An MSX emulator is an emulator of the MSX system. Quite some MSX emulators exist:
- MESS is not an MSX emulator, but rather a platform that emulates a large amount of systems; one of those systems is the MSX. Available for Windows, Unix, Mac and Amiga.
- openMSX is an open source MSX emulator that uses a unique emulation model and tries to achieve the highest level of accuracy possible. Available for Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows.
- BrMSX is an open source MSX emulator written in assembly language for the x86 platform.
- BlueMSX (Microsoft Windows)
Other licenses - fMSX (Unix, Mac, MS-DOS, Windows, PC9800, etc): one of the oldest MSX emulators, with quite controversial licensing; a lot of other emulators are based on fMSX
- fMSX-Amiga (Amiga)
- CJS MSX2 (MSDOS)
- RuMSX (MS-Windows)
- NLMSX (MS-Windows)
