MTA Bus
MTA Bus, overseen by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is a company created to take over private bus lines in New York State. The legal name is the MTA Bus Company. It is also planned to take over bus operations of MTA New York City Transit and MTA Long Island Bus.[1] MTA Bus started to operate the former Liberty Lines Express bus routes on January 3, 2005. In took over the Queens Surface Corporation buses on February 27. It plans to take over the New York Bus Service, Command Bus Corporation, Green Bus Lines, Jamaica Buses and Triboro Coach Corporation.
