Munakata District, Fukuoka

Munakata (宗像郡; -gun) was a district located in Fukuoka, Japan. On March 28, 2005 the village of Oshima was merged into the city of Munakata, then the district was disappeared.

Mergers

On January 24, 2005 the former towns of Fukuma and Tsuyazaki merged, becoming the city of Fukutsu.
