My Name is Holocaust
Holocaust (later Pyre): Leonard Smalls is the illegitimate son of Dakota Mayor Thomasina Jefferson. A superhumanly strong pyrokinetic, Smalls left the Syndicate after a leadership struggle with Texador, and chose to abandon the small-scale world of gangs for the greater possibilities offered by organized crime. As an initiation ritual, he was obliged to surrender something of great value to him: his name, and the reputation that came with it. Unable to call himself Holocaust, Smalls renamed himself Pyre. As Pyre, he tried to reform a new Blood Syndicate of his own recruiting: BoogieMan, Flashback, Mistress Death, Bad Betty, Fade, Tarmack, Bubbasaur, and Rocket (who was undercover). Smalls then reclaimed his name - Holocaust.
Comicbook Synopsis
Issue 1: Holocaust is now a gang leader as we see him and his sidekicks, Bad Betty and Tarmack take out rival Elijah Sinclair, head of the Paris Blood Import Corp. Holocaust takes Juniper Sinclair for his personal pleasures. We get a hint towards Holocaust's real mother. Holocaust's presence triggers action from the Coalition: Ryan Whittaker - the Whittaker Foundation, Harm - Cornelius, Inc., Sanchez Cantano - the de la Cruz Corp., and Hannah Wing - Demon Fox Tong. And Holocaust sends a little message to the Coalition. The Coaliton pressures Mayor Jefferson into action. Juniper tries to kill herself. Issue 2 (Embers): We meet Joseph, Holocaust's servant, and learn more of Holocaust's past. He was as abused child taught to hold no respect for nothing but brute force. Holocaust's gang takes down the de la Cruz Corp. Bad Betty, who is a shdow cabinet plant, is getting frustrated by the pure terror that Holocaust causes. Ryan Whittaker pressures Mayor Jefferson some and Jefferson turns to John Tower. Issue 3 (Hearts Affire): Juniper Sinclair has an opportunity but won't kill Holocaust. As Holocaust recovers we are introduced to John Tower, the first hero of Dakota. Holocaust's coma draws out more memories of his childhood. When he recovers Holocaust decides to take Whittaker down and runs into Tower. Issue 4 (Smoke): Showdown between John Tower and Holocaust result in the death of John Tower. Mayor Jefferson is questioned about her pursuit of Holocaust and drops hints that Holocaust is her child. Holocaust finally reaches Whittaker and is invited to a meeting at the Coalition/S.Y.S.T.E.M. Issue 5 (Pyre): Mayor Jefferson confronts Holocaust to explain to him some of the rules concerning criminal politics. Holocaust finally catches on that Jefferson may be his true mother. We see Holocaust's dad kill his first love. Holocaust is officially offered membership into the Coalition, but to take membership he must give up his name. Bad Betty is stopped by Dharma from killing Holocaust. Mayor Jefferson finally explains that she is Holocaust's mother and renames him Pyre.
