| In biology, the family Mysidae is one of the principal subgroups within the order Mysidacea or mysid shrimps. Mysid seen from below with the feeding basket open, used for filter feeding) The members of Mysidae are sometimes called fairy shrimps. Their characteristic feature is the presence of a statocyst on the endopod of the uropod.
