Nae Caranfil
Nae Caranfil (Nicolae Caranfil) (born 1960, Bucharest) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. He studied at IATC (Film and theatre Institute) in Bucharest, and graduated in 1984. He is the son of Tudor Caranfil, a great Romanian film historian. Caranfil made his debut with E Pericolsso Sporgersi(1993); and later Asfalt-tango(1996) starring Charlotte Rampling His movie Philantropica (2001) gave him a reputation as the best Romanian director of the 1990s, noted for his comedies. The critics named him "a caroussel director" or "an entartainer director"
