NARC (arcade game)
NARC is a 1988 arcade game by Williams. It was one of the first ultra-violent video games and a frequent target of parental criticism of the arcade game industry.
Description The player controls a futuristic police officer hunting down junkies, drug dealers and organized crime kingpins. The player's character is equipped with an automatic weapon. When an enemy is dispatched, the explode in a torrent of blood and giblets. Some enemies surrender, but even after doing so, the player may still kill them. The game's objective is to reach and destroy various drug dealing ringleaders. See also: Video game controversy
