Nataliya Shaposhnikova
Nataliya Vitalyevna Shaposhnikova (Russian:Наталья Витальевна Шапошникова), (b. June 24 1961), Nataliya Sut after the marriage, was a Soviet gymnast, two times Olympic Champion, Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR. She was born in Rostov on Don, Russian SFSR. She trained in gymnastics sports club Dynamo, Rostov on Don. Her trainer was the Honoured Trainer of the USSR Vladislav Stepanovich Rastorotsky. Shaposhnikova was one of the world's strongest gymnasts in the late 1970s and early 1980s, especially in the Vault Event. She invented one of the elements in the Uneven Bars Event, which was named Shaposhnikova after her.
