Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies was the first DVD/Video release of the TV series SpongeBob SquarePants. It was released in 2002 and consists of two video releases with five 11-minute episodes, put together to make up 1 DVD release. The extras on the release were the Violent Femmes' rendition of the SpongeBob theme song, Language and Episode Selection, Backstage Pants, a special feature which tells how the show began, and also, more SpongeBob secrets, which included the pitch from "Graveyard Shift".
