Negh'Var class starship
In the Star Trek fictional universe, the Negh'Var class starship is a rarely seen starship produced and used by the Klingon Empire. In 2372, the brand new Negh'Var was the Klingon flagship. This heavily armed starship class is the largest and most sophisticated starship in used by the Klingon Defense Force during the Dominion War. The Negh'Var class was probably developed in response to the new Galaxy class starship and would be used through the early 25th century. The ship is armed with a wide variety of weapons and is defended by heavy shields. The Negh'var class has two large forward-facing disruptor cannons designed to fight space stations and perform planetary bombardments. The Negh'Var class might also have troop accommodations. The Negh'var class also has one large triangular pod on top of the engineering hull, possibly a shuttlebay or a large weapons module with many photon torpedo launchers. The Negh'var class battleship is slightly larger than the Galaxy class starship and tactically equal to two Federation Galaxy class starships; however, the Negh'Var is not as manueverable or fast. Several Negh'Var class battleships are believed to exist. In real life, the Negh'Var class was designed by Rick Sternbach for Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Commanded by General Martok of the Klingon Defense Force circa stardate 49011 in 2372, the Negh'Var was the flagship for Chancellor Gowron during the Klingon invasion of the Cardassian Union. Circa stardate 49011.4, the Negh'Var led a Klingon attack force to capture Deep Space Nine. The Negh'Var might have served during the Dominion War.
