Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro crater is the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera, sited towards the northwest of Arusha in Tanzania. It is a unique example of the diversity of nature in that, it has become a natural enclosure for a very wide variety of wildlife, including most of the species found in East Africa. It has been declared a national park under the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority. Aside from vast herds of zebra and wildebeest, Ngoronoro is home to Black rhinoceros and black-maned lions. Ngorongoro was the subject of one of PBS' documtaries in the series "The Living Edens"[1].
