Nguyen Son Ha


Nguyen Son Ha (vietnamese: Nguyễn Sơn Hà) is a devout anti-communist was born in 1954, in the South Vietnam.

Biography


During the Fall of Saigon, his father, a devout anti-communist, was a Lieutenant in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). He chose to remain and protect his family and defend South Vietnam from the invading North Vietnamese Army and their Viet Cong agents. The Communist forces during a fierce battle overcame his battalion, due to their low ammunition and air support and his father was killed.

Dung helped his mother and siblings survive, and he grew to despise the practices of the Communist government and they escaped by boat and they recieved political asylum from the United States and settled in Los Angeles, in 1977.

He graduated from the Nationalist Chinese Institute for Technical Research, in Taipei, Taiwan.

He attended Darlington Technical College, South Carolina and then worked as a Financial Planner.

In 2001, he was appointed as Secretary of Foreign Affairs of an exiled anti-communist organization known as The Government of Free Vietnam.

He has been a advocate for democracy for Vietnam, and has been traveling thoughout California and Washington State speaking to Vietnamese-American communities and meeting with State Officials as Representative Loretta Sanchez to gather support for political reform in Vietnam.
