Noble & Greenough School
History
The Noble & Greenough school, often simply called Nobles is a private school located in Dedham, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1866 by George Washington Copp Noble as an all-boys day school in Boston. In 1922, the school moved from Boston to its current location in Dedham.

Nobles today Nobles currently goes from grades 7-12; seventh and eighth grades are housed in a separate building, the Middle School, and grades 9-12 are housed in the main building, the Shattuck Schoolhouse. Nobles currently has 525 students: 100 in the middle school, and 525 in high school. The student body is evenly distributed between boys and girls. The Nobles campus is 187 acres (757,000 m²), including nine athletic fields and a sizeable length of the Charles River. Nobles has 84 faculty memebers, 23 of whom reside on campus. This makes the student:faculty ratio 6:1. The average class size is 14. Nobles has 70 interscholastic teams, including 23 varsity teams. Nobles has an 80 hour community service graduation requirement.
