No More Shall We Part

No More Shall We Part is the 11th studio album released by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, September 2001. It was met with mostly positive reviews, often called 'beautiful'. Some Nick Cave critics or fans who preferred his earlier music disliked it, saying he has becoming slow and meaningless (see the Nude as the News review).

The album is often considered to deal with a theme of voyeurism of sorts, observing the world from an outside viewpoint. Consider tracks such as As I sat sadly by her side:

"And she drew the curtains down/ And said 'When will you ever learn/ That what happens there beyond the glass/ Is simply none of your concern?'"
