Nova (radio network)

Nova is a name given to a group of Australian radio stations. The group comprises five stations, and are all owned by DMG Radio Australia.

Apart from the name and owner, the group is not a network in the traditional sense, as each station, has their own set of DJs, with little syndicating between stations.

The Nova stations are:

  • Nova 96.9 Sydney (96.9 MHz) - started April 2001
  • Nova 100 Melbourne (100.3 MHz) - started December 2001 (first new commercial station in 21 years)
  • Nova 93.7 Perth (93.7 MHz) - started November 2002 (first new commercial station in 22 years)
  • Nova 106.9 Brisbane (106.9 MHz) - started August 2004
  • Nova 91.9 Adelaide (91.9 MHz) - started August 2004 (first new commercial station in 20 years)
