Nuffield Organisation

The Nuffield Organisation was an automobile manufacturing company in the United Kingdom. Named for its financier, William Morris, 1st Viscount Nuffield, was formed in 1938 as the merger of Nuffield's Morris Motor Company with Wolseley and (bankrupt) Riley/Autovia. Nuffield lasted through World War II to return to automobile production in the 1940s. It merged with the Austin Motor Company to form the British Motor Corporation in 1952.
