Nurnie
Nurnies are bits of detail on models (Computer generated or real) which serve no real purpose, but look like they do. The detail can be made from geometric primitives (Cylinders, cubes, rectangles, etc.), all brought together to create surface detail on (but not limited to) spaceship models for example. The phrase was coined by Ron Thornton, a pioneering 3D artist and founder of Foundation Imaging. All images are the work of John Selvia and are Copyright 2004 by John Selvia and can be freely used as long as credit is given to the artist (John Selvia).
