OAG

OAG is a global content management company specializing in travel and transport. It is a private company with over 450 staff based in Europe, America and Asia, serving its business and consumer customers via its three regional and nine local offices and its extensive distributor network. OAG's global headquarters are in Dunstable, England. The company was established over 70 years ago. OAG originally stod for "Official Airline Guides", however this is no longer in official use by the company, which today has the registered title "OAG Worldwide Ltd".

OAG's expertise is in managing large amounts of data and building applications and products to get that information into the hands of people who need it.

OAG holds a breadth of travel related content. The company is best known for its airline schedules database, which holds flight details for 1000 airlines and more than 3000 airports and is updated around ten times a second.

OAG collects raw data which is then validated and crosschecked. The company distributes this content in standard or customised formats. As an example, airline schedules, connections and status information is distributed to airline reservation systems, global distribution systems, airports, consultants and analysts.

OAG provides a suite of technology applications to aid data management, distribution, display and analysis. These include internet timetable and status displays for airports, airlines, travel-related websites and e-portals; PDA applications; cargo routing and itinerary building tools; and phone-based flight search and alert services.

The company reaches a growing consumer community either via the delivery of content through marketing partnerships or through our own internet, PDA, mobile, digital and print products. Consumer products include: OAG Travel & Flight Planners, Executive Flight Guide, OAG express, OAG Flight-Finder and OAGflights.com.

OAG has extensive relationships with technical partners, industry bodies and marketing partners and advertisers. These partnerships are increasing, accelerated by the opportunities arising in new media.
