Oakley HallOakley Hall (born 1920) is an American novelist. His books focus primarily on the historical American West. His most famous book, Warlock, was adapted into a movie directed by Edward Dmytryk, and is also well known as a favorite of Thomas Pynchon. After the death of Wallace Stegner, Hall was considered the dean of West Coast writers, having supported the early careers of California novelists such as Michael Chabon and Robert Clark Young.
