Ochoa
The Ochoa brothers, Fabio, Jorge and Juan David, were important members of the Medellin cartel headed by Pablo Escobar. Their association dated from around 1975, after their former boss, Fabio Restrepo, was killed, presumably by Pablo himself. They were among the most powerful cocaine kingpins until the Medellin cartel was torn apart by government forces, their Cali cartel rivals, and U.S intelligence. All three turned themselves in after Colombian president Cesar Gaviria promised amnesty for any cartel members who gave up. Later on, when Pablo escaped from his La Catedral prison, the DEA tried to encourage them to give data on Medellin with little success. More recently, Fabio, according to Mexican authorities, still has nexus with some traffickers of a so-called "millenium cartel" (since it appeared in 2000) in that country, sending regular shipments of cocaine
