Oh Festivus

Oh Festivus

Oh Festivus also known as "The Festivus Song" is a nondenominational holiday song based on the events of Festivus from an episode of Seinfeld, a popular American television sitcom of the 1990s. It believed to have been first performed in Dallas, Texas bars and taverns during the 2004/2005 holiday season. This song reportedly will be featured in a 2005 book about Festivus. [1]

Oh Festivus is sung to the tune of "O Canada." The most frequently sung version is as follows:

Oh Festivus!

Our humble holiday.

Serenity Now is our only goal today.

With glowing hearts we see thy shining pole,

No tinsel there to distract our souls!

From far and wide,

Oh Festivus, to air grievances we’re free.

Thy feats of strength are glorious to me.
Frank Costanza, we tip our hats to thee.

Oh Festivus, we’ll pin you first, you’ll see.
