Oleg Antonov
Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov (Антонов, Олег Константинович in Russian) (1.25.(2.7).1906 - ?) was a Soviet aircraft designer, Doctor of Science, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1968), Hero of Socialist Labor (1966), member of the CPSU (1945). In 1930, Antonov graduated from the Kalinin Polytechnical Institute in Leningrad. In 1946, he was appointed head of the aircraft design bureau. Antonov was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 5th, 6th and 7th convocations. He received the State Award of the USSR (1952) and Lenin Award (1962). Antonov was also awarded two Orders of Lenin and other orders and medals.
