Olga Benario
Olga Benário Prestes was a German communist militant. She was trained by the KGB as an explosives specialist and ordered to kill the president of Brazil with the objective of provoking a Communist revolution in that country. She was also the wife of Carlos Prestes the president of the Brazilian communist party. She allegedly strangled a 17 year-old girl who was suspected of betraying the party. In 1936 Brazilian authorities, with the help of the Gestapo and US intelligence, arrested her and deported her to Germany. She died in the gas chamber in 1942. A movie based on her life (Olga) was released in 2004.
