Omni Group
The Omni Group is a software developer of applications for NeXTSTEP, OPENSTEP, and Mac OS X. Their productivity products names are in CamelCase and begin with "Omni". Their games are ported from other platforms. Omni Group administers several mailing lists related to Mac OS X and software development. They provide several frameworks for Cocoa software development under a liberal license. Advocates claim that their productivity applications, especially OmniGraffle and OmniOutliner, are excellent examples of user inteface design. They have won several awards, such as Eddy Most Innovative Browser from Macworld (OmniWeb) and an Eddy for OmniGraffle. At the 2001 Macintosh Worldwide Developers Conference, OmniWeb 4.0 won two Apple Design Awards: "Best Mac OS X User Experience" and "Best New Mac OS X Product." The Omni Group is known for its excellent interface design, led by Mike Matas and Wil Shipley, who currently work for Delicious Monster.
