Orkney Snork Nie
Orkney Snork Nie was a popular Afrikaans sitcom broadcast by the SABC in the 1980s and early 1990s. It was based in the mining town of Orkney, near Johannesburg, and followed the exploits of a white Afrikaans-speaking family. The head of the household, Hendrik, worked on the mines and his wife, Maggie, was a housewife. Thay had three children: Ouboet, Hester and Wimpie. Ouboet was a car mechanic. He and his wife had a little baby of their own. Hester adn Wimpie were both still studying. The cast included Frank Opperman and Anrich Herbst
