Osona

Osona (also, in the Early Middle Ages, Ausona) is one of the historical Catalan counties and the corresponding bishopric, whose territory was roughly the current comarca of Osona, capital Vic.

    The title come back to Cabrera before 1383, then was sold by Marquis of Aitona 1574, and 1772 by matrimonial liaison to dukes of Medinaceli.

    There was also a vicecounty of Osona, that later changed his name to vicecounty of Cabrera.
