Osorno

is a name applied to three geographical features of the Tenth Region of Chile:

Its second largest city (2002 population 133,000);

The province surrounding that city; and

A 2,661-meter (8700-foot) tall, conical volcano on the southeastern shore of Lake Llanquihue, known nationwide as a symbol of the local landscape.
