Otep

A nu-metal band currently based out of Southern California, USA, consisting of lead vocalist Otep Shamaya, Lee Rios on guitar, Doug Pellerin on drums, and bassist eViL j. Witnessing a brief live performance impressed Sharon Osbourne enough that Otep landed a spot on Ozzfest without having yet signed a record deal.

Otep is an anagram for poet. It is also an Egyptian suffix meaning "creative offerings."
