Ouest, Haiti

Ouest (English: West) is one of the nine departments of Haiti. Its main town is the national capital, Port-au-Prince. It has an area of 4,827 km² and a population of 2,943,200 (2002). It borders the Dominican Republic to the east.

The department is divided in 5 arrondissements:

1. l'Arcahaie
2. Croix-des-Bouquets
3. La Gonâve
4. Léogane
5. Port-au-Prince
