Paolo Verrucci

Paolo Verrucci, Italian Colorist. Working at Cinecitta Studios in Rome [1] since December 1993 at the age of 17 years old.
He started up in different departments of the laboratory. In 1998 he tranfered to the lighting department where, near the expert Pasquale Cuzzupoli and the other colorists, he was introduced to traditional color correction with the video color-analyzer. After one year he worked in film restoration as Color Timer for old movies with the famous cinematographer "Giuseppe Rotunno" who was the supervisor. He worked in movies such as "C'eravamo tanto amati" directed by Ettore Scola, " La prima notte di quiete" directed by Valerio Zurlini. He collaborated also with Martin Scorsese for the documentary "il mio viaggio in Italia" (1999) which appeared during the Cannes Festival (2000). In September 2001 he started work in digital color grading at Cinecitta Digital (Cinecitta Studios area), where he collaborated with American movie post-production. In the latest years he worked in famous movies such as: "Gangs of New York", directed by Martin Scorsese, "the Passion" directed by Mel Gibson and "Life aquatic" directed by Wes Anderson. Currently working on the most important italian films such as la tigre e la neve directed by Roberto Benigni and le chiavi di casa directed by gianni amelio, he is familiar with the film-scanner in Spirit DataCine 2K for the digital intermediate processing.
