History
During the Philippine Revolution, Parañaque became one of the hottest battle zones, being at the middle of the province of Cavite, where the revolutionaries held sway, and Manila, the seat of the Spanish colonial government. At the time of the Americans, Parañaque became one of the first municipalities in the area. From a municipality, it then became a chartered city on February 15, 1998. External Links
