Pat GarrettPat Garrett (June 5, 1850 Chambers County, Alabama - February 28, 1908) was a bartender and later a sheriff in Lincoln County, New Mexico who is alleged to have tracked down and killed Billy the Kid on July 14, 1881.Garrett was shot and killed by the gunman Jim Miller on February 28, 1908 in an ambush.
