Pat Morita
Noriyuki "Pat" Morita (born June 28, 1932 in Isleton, California) is a Japanese-American actor best known for the roles of Arnold on the TV show Happy Days and Mr. Miyagi in the movie The Karate Kid, for which he was nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1984. Although gaining worldwide fame as a wise karate teacher based on the "Karate Kid" franchise, most of Morita's karate in movies was done by stunt double (and noted shito-ryu karate-ka) Fumio Demura. Prior to breaking into movies, Morita was a member of The Groundlings improvisational comedy troupe, and spent some time as a stand-up comedian, as well as had recurring roles in Happy Days.
